Rewilding

After being inspired by a few people, and doing some research I've found myself really engaged with an idea in movement and lifestyle called human rewinding. From my understanding. It talkes concepts of animal and habitat rewinding (where the goal is to recreate the most natural environment possible to encourage nature to write the wrongs of human intervention) and puts it into a human context.

It sounds extreme when put like that, however it's somthing you can connect with at any level. Weather that's changing the gym for climbing or swimming Or using trees and a natural environments to exercise, eating clean or even taking a walk. Being outside and in nature is categorically proven by science to have helth benefits. I found a cool article on BBC this morning that inspired me to write about this. THIS.

I've always enjoyed being outside and playing with things I found at the coast- My home environment. I love playing with natural clay deposits and exploring the hard to reach places in a quiet untouched bay. An example of somthing I've gained from this would be the strength and relatively good dexterity in my hands, alothough since June last year I've met and leant from somebody who had control and dexterity that made my hands look like mittens. I have verry hypermobile hands and for their range of motion they are strong. That's not it now, but it's somthing I've noticed over time.

I could talk for an age about this, and as far as the whole movement is conserned I've only just touched the surface. There's a few cool YouTube channels i also connect with. Such as

Evolve, Move, Play

Fighting Monkey/ Rootless Root

Rewild University

Natural Crafting

Lillith.

After a long time spent with exploring and working on other bits and bobs were finally staring our creation/ rehearsal process for our full length show, Lillith!

Loosely based on a few books, namely The Book of Lillith were going to explore the first woman, Lilith and her equal, Adam, who doesn't see them as equals. All of this being totally banned from the bible and manipulated by ancient Rabbi's. So exiting stuff!

I was initially toying with the idea of constructing an investigation around the process of creating Lilith, however I'm fascinated by things like efficiency and how our system is designed to move and how we can manipulate that to suit our lifestyle. So I'm going to spend some more time structureing somthing I can really get my teeth into!

Twitter

I’m looking into trying to create a successful twitter. It’s something I’ve always had but not reach a fraction of the networking potential. My research thus far hasn’t been too helpful in generating ideas to gain popularity, but I'm yet to do some field testing, Will keep you’ll posted. Any ideas will be much appreciated!!  i will add a link after some exploring.

CRAZY

For the last few weeks every day has merged into one. We’re still workshopping and refining ideas towards our new full length piece, ‘Lillith’. I’m sure to posting a lot about that process in the months to come I’m waiting on the all clear to talk more and show images and videos of rehearsal. After I get that I will have a wealth to share from my new YouTube channel!

I'm an avid journal and record keeper however I’m slightly blog-phobic. I’m working on overcoming the irrational stress it causes me. Because of this, my blog will be very busy over the next few weeks and things for me start to cool down and I’m able to make the most of BAPP. I’m going to start posting my findings and research, I’ve also come across two areas I’d like to look into in more detail. I will share along with my other post, so stay tuned.
